Bill –
I am the original owner of the car. I must have fiddled with the headlight switch, for now when I close the garage door and it’s dark, the headlights come on. Then the battery is drained, and I have to call for AAA assistance to recharge the battery. After repeated calls, it gets pretty irritating, and I cannot figure out the setting to keep the lights off when it is dark. Do you have a diagram of the correct “off setting” to help me? Thank you in advance.
Pamela

Greetings Pamela –
We have never seen or heard of this problem as you describe before now. We are sending you the Autolamp operation guide from the owners manual in case you do not have a copy.
Did this issue appear suddenly? Did you possibly have any other type of electrical repair performed that may have caused this malfunction? Any additional information that you can supply could be a big help. Otherwise and because of the fact that this issue could be very rare someone would need to diagnose it up close. Let us know if you can supply any other information.
Sincerely,
Bill

Bill –
Thank you for your response. I have been having to call for battery charging pretty often lately, and no work has been done in the past few months that would trigger this. I truly believe I adjusted the controls somehow and set off this problem. I have checked the controls today to make sure they are in the “off position”, and will replace the battery once again. Then, my plan is to close the garage door, and check it again when it is dark. My mechanic will be back in town after Labor Day, so if I cannot figure it out, I will have the car taken to him. I will let you know if we find out anything.
Sincerely,
Pamela
