I have a 79 Mark V. The first problem is I only get heat out of the defrost no matter what the Heat /AC is set on. The second Is the light on the radio dial has stopped working and I’m wondering how replace that light bulb.

Hi Matt –
On your 1979 Mark V loss of vacuum to the Climate Control system will cause the system to default to Maximum heat and Defrost only at any control setting. If this sounds like your problem, checking the vacuum supply to this system is a good place to start.
To change the light bulb or bulbs in the radio will require the radio to be removed from the dash and the panel or panels removed in order to gain access to the bulbs.
